OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Played a pivotal role in resolving acute shortage foreign workers:

Government announced 3 days approval & fast track process for 5 main industries earlier last year.

Government also unfroze the 3 services sub sectors namely barber, goldsmith & textiles

Supported and facilitated ⁠up to 900 over B40 petty traders in Mitra PMKS program

We managed to elevate and uplift the socioeconomic status of these micro businesses owners by ensuring their businesses are legalized, licensed & digitized.

⁠Organized 1st National Conference on Government Grants & Loans that attracted 600 over participants, exhibitors and panel speakers.

The conference significantly impacted the MSMEs whom had the accessibility to RM40billion in grants, loans and capacity building training programs allocated in Budget 2023.

This conference elevated MSMEs business via our continued coaching & mentoring

⁠In Policy Advocacy, KLSICCI is recognized as strong voice of the industry as we are constantly being a pressure group to address the pressing industry issues to get an amicable solution from the Government.

KLSICCI is now affiliated to Federation of Malaysia Business Associations (FMBA) in this effort.

⁠Practiced Good Governance, Transparency & Accountability in managing the RM4.7 million Mitra grant via open tendering system & ensuring disbursement are done with full integrity

Signed Corruption Free Pledge with Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) to ensure transparency in any projects we handled in KLSICCI.

Re-structured KLSICCI non-fixed assets to ensure sustainable growth in our financial standing.

 The surplus account was reported in the financial statement 2023

⁠Explored Africa as a niche market for export opportunities for Malaysia SMEs.

Organised a trade delegation to Kenya, KLSICCI signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI) to boost & enhance trade & investment between both countries.

The Minsitry of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI) approved KLSICCI to form Malaysia Kenya Business Council (MKBC) to advocate this effort

Signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Federation of India Exporters Organisations (FIEO) to strengthen the trade ties between FIEO exporters and Malaysia Importers of all range of products from India.

This initiative created abundance of opportunities in the Food and Agriculture products exports from India to Malaysia , since 30% of India exports to Malaysia are related to Food & Agri products .
